I was 13 when my father bought me my first sheep dog. It was up to me to train her! I was very lucky to have a lot of support from the ATB, my uncle and local farmers who used their dogs for every day work on both sheep and cattle.

Whether I had a good dog to start off with or ......... a bad dog and natural ability - who knows but she turned out to be an excellent working dog and the most enjoyable and rewarding experience of my life was training that dog and achieving the standards that she did.
Over the last few years I have moved more into trialing, training and breeding. I'm now based at my home farm Sarn Faen in Tal y Bont, Gwynedd, prior to this I spent 10 years in the Flintshire area where I met some great characters and made many valuable friends in the sheep dog world.
It's opened a whole new avenue for me trialing and breeding and I'm still learning on a daily basis, the one thing I'm sure of is that I love my job!
